New Orleans Photos

I was born and raised in New Orleans. Here are some photos I took there on 35mm film, in the 1980s. Click any photo to see it a little larger.

Andrew Jackson chases away the pigeons at Jackson Square.

Johnny. A waiter at Cafe Du Monde happened to step into my photo just as I was about to take it. He stood there for maybe half a minute and was gone. Added the perfect touch to the photo I was about to take of the fountain, which was turned on higher than usual that day.

I'm pretty sure this is a house in the French Quarter, not elsewhere in New Orleans.

Mardi Gras - masked men on float

Ferris Wheel at the World's Fair, New Orleans, 1984

Pirate's Alley, French Quarter, New Orleans, with cyanotype filter applied in photoshop. I love the old-timey look the filter gives this photo.

Okay, that's all I really have time for now. Hope you enjoyed looking at my pix.
